April 3, 2009  A Morning Ce Breeze--For Attachment-based Parenting eNews

Good Morning,

I was thinking about a quote I heard recently:

A crisis is a terrible thing to waste.  (Apologies to whomever said it, as I cannot remember the name.)

Perhaps that's another way of saying that crisis is an opportunity.

When you feel like you are in the midst of a crisis, look for someone in your life who can help you see what opportunities there are to learn, grow, and take steps toward living fully.  Sometimes we spend too much time finding people who support the hopelessness in our situations.  That can actually feel pretty good temporarily.  Everyone wants to be empathised with.  So, once you get a little of that empathy, seek support to find the opportunity for hope, for passageways, and even for the little peepholes of light shining through the darkness.

Chew on that for a bit.  Who is a beacon of hope in your life?  How about a sip of tea with them today?  Crisis can be a signal, an opportunity to take very good care of yourself.

Love matters,
